...we'll .we walked on Cortland Avenue in Bernal Heights, SF and entered Marha Bros. Coffee and Stephan asked the counter clerks....

    I thought, am I?

    Still, I'm not sure.

Ask me again tomorrow, and I'll give you an answer. Better yet, why ask at all?

ok, i can answer the question: i struggle with being bi because i was brought up Catholic.

I believe every person deserves happiness and if it turns out that you're happier with a same sex partner, let it be so.

    half ;-)

isn't gender, for the most part, just a societal rule that we are forced to abide by since we are born?

I would say that its a biological rule. The societal "rules" come in when we look at how men and women are portrayed and brought up. Its easy to break the latter ones but the first one? I tend to argue that there is a reason why were are born a male or a female.

The universe is full of magical things patiently waiting for our wits to grow sharper.

i'd say that sex is biological, but how we see gender is more shaped by what we are told to act like and like. you know, boys like trucks and girls like dolls, boys wear blue, girls wear pink, etc.

^ This. Exactly. Society raises the new generations to think "straight", especially if conflicts with the biological orientation of that person. It's pretty sad that some people cannot stop living in the ignorant early 1900s.

RIP David Hankes, Assembly should be proud to have received what you contributed to this place.
