Yesterday was the first day of fall and oh do I feel the world changing all around me. I went to the Treasure Island music festival in San Francisco this weekend. I went to see the kills and the Raconteurs—they were both so good! And nobody clapped. Those poor sad hipsters. They are so nervous about having their choices impugned they could barely risk a cheer.
Lets get back to fearless I say. And that brings me to my album. Here we are today in the studio and tony is playing guitar on a new song called "Why Can't You Be." He's been getting these gorgeous blues tones lately—fender strat through a fender showman and a movaje 2x12 cabinet. Tony can play guitar like the devil himself. When he's done, I'm going to fly to Seattle where my friend Kimya Dawson is going to sing and she sounds like an angel, but that is a story to tell on a different blog. It's a duet by the way.
I don't know you, but I love you all for you are all made of lions!

Why Can't You Be off Red Star is one of my favorites ever by 3eb

i can't wait to hear it as a duet! kimya's voice is beautiful, the second i heard self righteous i had to find out who it was. it's murder waiting for this album but i know it will be worth it :) why can't you be is my favorite song from the red star ep!
made of lions? hmmm.....
When will you be back in Vesa?
I am absolutely and truly ecstatic for your new album, I saw you Saturday at bamboozle and as usual you blew me away, you guys are truly inspiring, where so many bands rise and just as quickly fall, you've managed to persevere, over a decade of true dedication to what you do and every time I watch you guys on stage reminds me why I love 3eb as much as I do besides your unbelievable musical talents and music that has made every day for me a little easier, you guys connect on stage and every body in the audience can see and feel your chemistry, you can see how much you all love what you do and your true appreciation for your fans, it really makes me feel grateful to have the privilege to appreciate you. 3eb has honestly shown fans and the industry that being yourself and being true to what you are will inevitably make you rise
From my deepest respect and admiration Thank you, thank you for doing what you do
and please come to utah. the tabernacle choir just isn't cutting it for me.
I always wondered whose voice that was in "self righteous." That was a favorite- still a favorite for a long time. I guess I should say a stuck on repeat song. That sounds much better.
Is the album here yet??? :)
Hey Stephan, after your show tonight have a few drinks, maybe coffee and brandy, because you might remember me......
saw your show at derby lane. Very good - it was my first time. Why dont you where shoes?
Kimya's voice is so unique, I still can't get over "self righteous" amazing song.
